CodeVet Privacy Policy

CodeVet Labs, Inc. (“CodeVet”, “we”) provides the CodeVet Test Intelligence Platform. This policy explains what personal data we collect about you, why, and what you can do about it.
1. Who we are

2. What we collect
When you ask us for something. If you request our pricing sheet or book a demo, we collect your name, work email address, company name, which test management tool your team uses, and roughly how many projects you have. You give us this directly.
When you visit our website. We collect aggregate usage statistics — pages viewed, referring site, country, device type and browser. See Section 3.
When you contact us. We keep our correspondence with you.
We do not collect payment card details. We do not buy personal data from data brokers, and we do not sell or share your personal data for advertising.
3. Website analytics and cookies
We use two analytics tools, and they behave differently.
Plausible Analytics measures aggregate website traffic. It sets no cookies, collects no personal data, and does not track individuals across sites or sessions. It runs for every visitor and needs no consent.
HubSpot analytics records how visitors interact with our site and connects that activity to people who fill in our form. It uses cookies. Where consent is required — including in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland — we ask before setting HubSpot cookies, and you can decline without losing access to any part of the site.
We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.
4. Why we use your data, and our legal basis

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed them against your interests and rights, and you can object at any time using the contact details in Section 13.
5. Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers for our own website, sales and correspondence.

The providers that process personal data inside the product, where we act as a processor for our Customer, are a separate list. They cover hosting, model inference and transactional email, and are published and kept current at codevet.dev/legal/subprocessors.
Except as described above, we disclose personal data only where required by law or in connection with a corporate transaction, subject to applicable notice requirements.
6. Where your data is held
CodeVet is based in the United States. HubSpot and Amazon Web Services process personal data in the United States. Plausible Analytics processes and stores data exclusively on infrastructure operated by European companies within the European Union, and none of it leaves the EU.
Where personal data reaches the United States, HubSpot’s Data Processing Agreement incorporates the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, together with the UK Addendum and the modifications required for Switzerland. Our agreement with Amazon Web Services incorporates the Standard Contractual Clauses on the same basis.
7. How long we keep it

Contract, accounting, legal-hold, dispute, and security records may be retained for different periods where separately justified by the relevant purpose or legal requirement.
Product account records, in-product activity records and transactional email records are held for our Customer rather than for ourselves. Their retention is governed by that Customer’s Data Protection Addendum and is described in Section 8.
8. Data we process for customers
When a company subscribes to CodeVet, we process product-user identity, account, authentication, and in-product activity data on its behalf to provide and secure the Service. We also process the content of its Jira tickets, documentation, and test cases to generate proposed test cases. That content can include personal data, such as the names and email addresses of people who reported, were assigned to, or commented on a ticket.
For that data we act as a processor on our Customer’s instructions. Our Customer decides why and how it is used, supplies the applicable lawful basis and notices, and our Data Protection Addendum governs how we handle it. If you believe your personal data appears in a CodeVet Customer’s account or project and you want it corrected or removed, please contact that company directly. If you contact us, we will pass your request to it.
We hold that data for the subscription term, and then delete or return it under the Data Protection Addendum. Transactional email is sent through Amazon SES within our own AWS environment, so message content is not stored by a separate email vendor and delivery records are held under the retention periods described in the CodeVet Security Measures.
We do not use Customer Data, or anything derived from it, to train, retrain or fine-tune any artificial-intelligence or machine-learning model, and we require every model provider that processes it to be contractually prohibited from doing so.
Separately from what we do for a Customer, we act as a controller for the limited processing we carry out to keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and meet our own legal obligations, as described in Section 4.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, receive it in a portable form, and withdraw consent you have given.
Residents of California, and of other US states with comparable laws, have rights to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal data for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any right.
Residents of Canada: we handle personal information under Canada’s PIPEDA, and for Quebec residents under Quebec’s Law 25, which give you rights to access and correct your personal information and to withdraw consent. You may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information.
To exercise any right, email legal@codevet.dev. We will respond within thirty days, or sooner where the law requires. If you are in the EEA or the UK and are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
10. How we protect it
Our security controls are described in the CodeVet Security Measures.
11. Children
CodeVet is a business product. We do not direct it at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under sixteen.
12. Changes
We will update this policy as our practices change, and we will change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell affected people directly.
